    Marc's Motivational Talk

In 2002 Marc Herremans wanted to achieve his athletic dream: winning the Ironman in Hawaï. This dream promptly came to an end after a training accident on the island of Lanzarote: Marc became paralyzed from chest to toes. Instead of laying down in the hospital bed, he returned to Hawaï in 2003 and reached the 3rd place in the Ironman as a handcycle athlete. Despite his paralysis, in 2006 Marc won the Ironman of Hawaï! Besides these athletic achievements, Marc established To Walk Again, a foundation that provides disabled people with a chance for revalidation and sports, started coaching athletes and established the young triathlon team '185'.
